Set your report schedule and notifications
Back to Documentation

Posted: September 2nd, 2026

Gameplainer keeps an eye on your game around the clock, but you decide how often it taps you on the shoulder. The Notifications settings let you tune exactly what arrives and when, so you get a rhythm that fits how your studio works instead of a firehose.

Where to set it

Open Settings and go to Notifications. Each area is organised into sections you can expand: how reports reach you, and the schedule they follow.

Turning the whole schedule on or off

At the top of the report schedule there is a single on/off switch. Flip it off and the entire schedule pauses: no digests go out, and the day and timing controls below it switch off too, so nothing is running quietly in the background. Your preference is saved the moment you flip it, so it stays off after you refresh or come back tomorrow.

Flip it back on and the schedule returns to sensible defaults, ready for you to adjust. This is the fast way to go quiet during a crunch, a holiday, or a launch week when you are watching things live anyway.

Choosing your days

When the schedule is on, you choose which days you want your daily digest. Want it only on weekdays? Select Monday through Friday. Prefer a single weekly summary instead? Set it up that way. The digest only sends on the days you have chosen, so an empty selection genuinely means no daily digest, not a hidden default.

Where reports are delivered

Gameplainer can deliver through Discord and by email. Discord is where a lot of studios live day to day, so reviews and alerts can land right in your server channel. Email is there for the summaries you want in your inbox. You can expand each delivery method in Notifications to turn it on or off and see its options.

Good to know

Your schedule preferences are about timing and defaults. The actual per-game digest sending respects those choices, so if you have turned the schedule off or cleared your digest days, nothing gets sent. Turn it back on whenever you want the rhythm to resume.
