You can update how Gameplainer charges you from inside the app without being bounced out to a separate billing portal.
Open Settings, go to Billing, and expand Payment methods. Your current default method loads first, so you can see exactly what is on file: the card brand and last four digits, or your PayPal account.
The new method becomes your default straight away, for both your subscription renewals and your invoices. There is no need to remove the old one first.
PayPal is available as a payment method too. In the same Add a payment method step, choose PayPal instead of a card. You will be sent to PayPal to authorise, then returned to Gameplainer, where the setup finishes automatically and PayPal becomes your default. If PayPal needs a moment to process, we will tell you and it will be ready shortly.
When you type your card number it goes directly to Stripe, our payment processor, inside a secure field. It does not pass through Gameplainer's servers and we never see or store it. Stripe is certified to the highest level of the payment card security standard (PCI DSS), and card payments are protected by 3D Secure, the same extra verification step your bank uses on other online purchases.
In practice that means the studio staying in control of the card is you and your bank, not us. We only ever hold a reference that lets Stripe charge the right method, never the number itself.
You can change your payment method as often as you like. The most recent one you save is the one we use.
If you are switching cards because your company details also changed, remember those are separate. Updating the card does not change the name or VAT number on your invoices; for that, see Update your billing details and VAT number .
